Upcoming All-Gatherings

An All-Gathering is an opportunity for the entire OBS network of discipling communities and trainees to get together for a meal, communion, prayer, group discussions about the Bible, baptisms, and music. This is our only open event where everyone is invited! Invite your friends and come taste-and-see what the OBS network is all about and how it looks to be in an OBS discipling community.

“Going All In” Leader Training

A “Going All In” group is the first step to identifying disciplable people. You will read through a 60-day devotional as a “Going All In” leader and meet for up to 7 meetings with potential disciples. You will simply tell a story from the Bible and walk your group through 6 discovery questions that will help them explore what the Bible means for them.

This is a 2-hour training that lasts one night.

Discipling Community Leader Training

At Our Best Story, we experience spiritual community in small group settings. These communities do three things together – GROW in their relationship with God, BUILD community with one another, and SHARE in a common mission.

There are 2 types of groups:

• X-Groups – Small 3-5 member same-sex groups that are highly accountable to one another.
• Discipling Community – Medium-sized 5-15 member groups that discover the Bible and encourage one another toward growth.

This training equips a disciple with the ability to effectively lead either group.

This is a 6-hour training that takes place over 2 Wednesday nights or 1 Saturday

Xcellerate Training for Disciple-Makers

Jesus used 2 key tools to make disciples in the New Testament:

• Good Probing Questions
• Relevant Life-Giving Stories

This training is designed to help you ask questions and tell stories that will transition everyday casual conversations into crucial conversations and then into spiritual discipling conversations. This is the key training to equip our disciple-makers with the tools of multiplication. We read a book called “Crucial Conversations” and we practice having these conversations with people in our sphere of influence between meetings. You will not regret taking this training!

This is a 7-session training starting on June 18th and running bi-weekly from 4-6 on Sunday afternoons.
